Back to Boothbay harbor

We disembarked at 5:11am from Camden with a beautiful sunrise.

We set the lee cloths up in the saloon the night previously so that we could sleep during our 50nm trip back to Boothbay Harbor without rolling out of bed – arrival in Boothbay 2pm. You may ask why Boothbay again? Well, tonight the USA plays Japan in the women’s World Cup final and we know where we can watch it in Boothbay. Last year when sailing we found the only marina and bar in MA that doesn’t show sports when the English men were playing in the world cup. This time we aren’t going to miss out.

We motored almost all of the way but sailed for the last hour when winds rose to 8-10kts. It was quite a disappointing journey but at least we got to rest.

We now have to plan a destination for tomorrow. Unfortunately work starts again tomorrow with teleconferences so we will need to stay close to shore to get phone reception.
