The weather forecast is for low winds today and almost none tonight. Instead of heading off on a long leg, we fueled up, then followed the trail of boats for the 4th of July celebrations. There were four tallships, including the USS Constitution. Old Ironsides was firing her canons with gusto. I kept thinking it was sunset! We have anchored off of Spectacle Island and currently intend to watch the fireworks from around Boston tonight.
Nobody guessed our destination this time.
How about tomorrow? Any ideas?
BTW - a sail boat just anchored next to us in 15 feet of water using no more than 30 feet of rhode (no chain). We are placing bets for when they run aground. For those not used to sailing, when using rope attached to an anchor you need to let out 7 feet of rope for every foot of depth (7x15=105feet)
