Great Friends, Good Fish!

We had a great afternoon of sailing on Friday, when Brian came out on Prairie Gold. He was in town to give an invited lecture at the Tufts Neuroscience Symposium & William Shucart Lecture http://www.neurosci.tufts.edu/symposium.html . It is always great to see good friends, and Brian is certainly one of those for us!!

Dustin, Brian and Phil.

This is a shot of an incredibly fast boat that raced by our bow while we were out.

The winds were fair, conditions were a bit overcast and hazy, but we managed to avoid rain and have a great day of sailing! Things got really exciting when the rod that Dustin rigged caught a fish. The fish put up a good fight but we managed to get it aboard. Once aboard, Brian showed us a trick they used while at sea to subdue fish caught while sailing:

While holding the fish still, Brain bravely filled his mouth with Puerto Rican Rum and sprayed the gills of the striped bass!

Here is Brian displaying this nice fish, with the important tool in the foreground!

The fish tasted excellent (thanks Dustin for cleaning and cooking it!), the meat had a nice dense texture, and was very mild in flavor.

Here is Brian getting ready to dig in, tastes even better when you have worked hard for it!
